    Should play with her bro it’s SHOCKING how fun and challenging this game can be. And when you fall off or get ganked, you become a bubble for 6 seconds to recover before you lose a life. So there’s constant gameplay now matter how bad I am. I mean , you might be.

    That game is insanely well made. And the surprises don’t stop.

    Also if you try 3 players and the third player doesn’t come back, the save files adjust to how many you want to play. So inviting others to play could not be easier. It’s great

    It’s so exciting give kids presents. I just got my niece some for her birthday. So much vicarious joy lol.

    Do playing together it’s super nice! And if game is too hard for your young one, the yoshi buddy mode is very nice!

    My 5 year old son got the same for his birthday and we’ve just completed it together. Played whole thing through co-op and it was great. Yoshi is great for kids to get through difficult levels.

    I got this for my 4 year old at Christmas and it changed his life! He walks around being a pushing chuck or a jumping Ninji. He always asking me to pretend to get a wonder flower then he transforms into something or other. What a wonderful experience it has been. I hope you enjoy it as much.

    Funny, one of my siblings have a switch for themselves and hides it from her kid because “he’ll get addicted” despite him playing the Wii version of New Super Mario….I keep trying to tell her it makes the addiction worse. Oh well.

    Nintendo has done an insanely good job at making kids instantly know who Mario is, its like kids come pre packaged with the desire to play Mario games.

    I still vividly remember the day I came home from school and my parents hid a surprise gameboy advance SP under my pillow. I couldn’t believe it and was in total shock that I almost cried :’]

    i would have recommended pokemon yellow, turn based games are much easire to adapt on.

    She’s gonna be so happy. 🙂 i remember when i was younger and i came home from school and my mom surprised me with my first console game :D. I recommend that you play the game with her because it can be a bit hard for a 6 year old to play a gane like that for the first time :]

    Pretty good pick. Platformers are pretty great as an introduction to video games for someone that young. When she gets about 8 or 9 get her some Pokemon games!

    I’m waiting to snag up a discount on the Bluey game as the first dedicated game she can try out on her own.

    My 5yo daughter is a video game watcher not a player. God of War Ragnarok, FF16, Dragon Quest 11, Spiderman…

    But she does love walking around with Mae from Night in the Woods even if she doesn’t understand where to go or what to do.
