I had the same GPU, Half-Life going from software rendering to hardware rendering was glorious.
A Matrox, I was 5 so I don’t remember the model. It was either with the 486 or Pentium 1 system.

Creative Labs was such a great brand back in the day. Their GFX cards where great. I used so many of the GeForce range of theirs in builds for people. As well as my-self back in the day.
Trying to remember did I have this. I have a blank spot in my memory on what card I had in my AMD K6-2 333

A intel iGPU was my first ever GPU. my first ever dedicated Laptop GPU was the GTX 1650 and my first dedicated Desktop GPU was a RTX 3070 ti

Using 3dfx on ff7 broke some 3d scenes like the bike level that didn’t had fps limit and made it like 5x the normal speed
I bought that exact card but it was AGP and my old prebuilt didn’t have an AGP slot, so I had to return it for a Diamond card that was PCI.
My nostalgic ass wants to track down one of these boxes and put it on the wall in my computer room.

I had the same GPU paired with a 2d ATI for video output.. tell me you enjoyed Carmageddon, and of course turok the dinosaur hunter that was aimed at Matrox owners, but ran pretty well on 3dfx.
My first was a GeForce 4 ti4200 I think. But I was like 10 when I got handed down that old PC and I didn’t really play any 3D games on it.
At age 12 I got handed down a newer PC with an Nvidia 8600GT. I played a lot of Minecraft on that thing, but it couldn’t do much more.
Then at age 16 I build my own PC with a GeForce GTX 1070ti. That was the first new GPU I bought myself.
Last year I got the first AMD card in my main rig with the Radeon RX 6800.

my first for a desktop was the 1660 super a hp custom from a lenovo prebuild
S3 Trio 1 MB for a year. Then got a Voodoo 2. My mind was properly blown away when I launched NFS3 and GTA 2. Good times.
I rmb getting this juz for the sake of remembrance, including voodoo 1-3, they were going so cheap when 3dfx collapse…
But after moving houses, I lost them…
