I didn’t play it but watched my brother play the whole thing. It looked fun to play and it looked good. I found myself saying: Wow, that looks awesome – a few times. Like the ocean frozen in time slowly coming back alive.
My brother seemed to like it and looking at him while he played, he looked like he was into it. He’s done, I might take the copy and do a solo run with it myself

It’s a lot of fun. Combat is challenging, but rewarding especially when you get the combos down. The story is engaging, actually way more than I expected it to be, and the animation has some moments that are absolutely amazing. Its the best metroidvania I’ve played in some time for sure.

If you like Metroidvanias like me, this game is actually fantastic. I wasn’t expecting much when I saw trailers and Ubisoft, but it looked fun enough to try. Wow I was blown away. The combat is super slick and responsive. I really enjoyed the almost fighting game style combos you can do on enemies, and the animations are really well done. Boss fights are fun and challenging. The map and exploration is fantastic with classic metroidvania style design. The thing that stood out to me the most were the abilities you acquire. They felt very unique and weren’t just your typical double jump, air dash, wall jump, etc. (you do get double jump and air dash though.) Most of the other ones had fun and practical uses in combat and exploration. Overall, it’s An amazing game. If you like metroidvanias do not pass this one up, it’s probably up there with the hollow knights and blasphemous and Metroid’s / Castlevania games in terms of fun and quality.

Most fun I’ve had playing a Metroidvania in a long time. You can customize it to make the exploration harder/easier which helped me get into the game without that “where tf am I suppose to go next” feeling that I’ve had with other Metroidvania games. Combat was challenging but rarely frustrating. Platforming was solid and challenging too. It’s a Great game and it was worth the price.

I enjoyed it enough to finish it and start doing the side stuff, but then I hit a really bad glitch that has made it unplayable – somehow an enemy hit me during a cut scene and seemed to knock me into the world. Now the world is invisible except for Sargon, the enemies and the Wak Wak trees. I’ve tried reinstalling and it’s still glitched so guess that I’m done with the game until it’s patched

As a huge fan of both the Prince of Persia IP and metroidvanias, this game is literally the best of both worlds for me. I’ve been having an absolute blast. Combat is fun, the puzzles are fantastic, and the platforming is a lot of fun (as you would expect, considering the devs are pretty much platforming royalty – they made the Rayman games)
I am slightly annoyed at this weird bug that is preventing me from progressing in a side quest, but I’m hoping they fix it soon.
PS. I have a theory that the future of the Prince of Persia franchise depends on how this game does, which is pretty much the only reason I bought it on launch instead of waiting for a sale, lol.

As good as Metroid dread with some cool new moves. I devoured it in about 20 hours. Very worth it if you like these type games.

Did anyone find it weird when it is a seemingly innocuous game review trailer and he busts out “at least that’s what my wife tells me”. Like….it didn’t fit the tone at all

I just beat it about 20 minutes ago, did everything, finished in 33.5 hours. Game was pretty great. I miss the Sands of Time style games, but love a good Metroidvania. There was some stuff that made me cringe in this, for instance, I’m not really into Prince of Persia games shooting kamehamehas all over the place, but you know, to each their own.
For me, I’d say this is the third or fourth best Metroidvania ever made.
