Sorry to inform you that the creator of the game pitched a 3rd game to EA (the owners of the IP) and got rejected. The game was called Alice Asylum. You can Google a bit and find a lot of concept art and streams from the creator himself. We’ll likely never see a sequel

Yeah, it’s miles better than the first game. I do wish they’d do more with the American McGee rendition, it was so cool.
Honestly, it still holds up today. I just did a playthrough a few months ago.
