Hello Long_Art_8182, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/gamingpc) if you have any questions or concerns.*

I think it would be good. It’s a good PC and I’m sure your kid is gonna love it !

  3. Responsible_Net_9214

most definitely, I would be very happy to get this pc it has great specs

  4. SpaCe-CG96

If possible go for a DDR5 6000 or 6400 mhz RAM eith a motherboard that will support it. And a 4070super. If you can only do 1 of those id say get the ram and motherboard combo the rest should be good

  5. Who_Else_but_Macho

i would go with the g pro superlight since its wireless & its really light has a great sensor & the feet on the bottom have a great glide to it but this is a solid pc for sure

No, in most cases not. The thing with 3d modeling is that it just takes lots of calculations, thus a good gpu and cpu. It won’t be bad either, but in cases of realistic and detailed rendering you’ll need a top tier pc. If he just wants to explore 3d modeling and check out the options he can always upgrade later on.

Looks good! Only thing i would do is get a retail key online, saves you 100 bucks…

  8. I would say that is more than enough.

Blender at its fundamentals doesn’t need a supercomputer. Those specs are fine just make sure in Blender you are using the GPU for rendering.

I would, however, try to go for some DDR5 ram.

8gb 4060ti and 4K resolution may not be a good mix; I’d go with the 4070 which should be discounted since 4070 super release or a 16gb 4060 ti.

Of course this is if nvidia is a must, otherwise I’d go AMD as in this price range they have better performance and vram capacity.

The photo does not match the specifications listed. It is a functional PC, but it’s not what I would call an optimal build.

Even if there’s nothing shady going on, as there is with the marketing here, you’ll always pay more for someone else’s build.

So this is a golden opportunity for you to spend time with your son and build a better bond with him by assembling a PC with him. There’s a million youtube tutorials on this stuff, and some are [quite entertaining while being educational](https://youtu.be/CDUZRNp4pxg?si=isIOrM2mrsOlhxFh) while others are [deeply informative and extra-friendly to first timers](https://youtu.be/CTCZGy0eJqw?si=Tz4PqtyODqy1r3zw) and then there’s [this](https://youtu.be/P-HKFVb2r50?si=tU6ujdabkAhQi7aE)

The ddr5 motherboard combo will set him up for a longer period. If the ddr4 holds him for 3-4 years more the ddr5 will hold him ( with minimal upgrades ) for at least 6-7 years

No DDR5? DDR4 B760 boards are not compatible with 14th gen Intel, just 12-13th gen. Stay with the 14th gen Intel CPU though, the hardware acceleration is great for video editing. So are NV cards supporting NVENC on Adobe Premiere. Go with the 4060 instead of the 4060ti. It will save you about $100.

    32GB of DDR5 is about $150.

    B760 mobo with DDR5 is about $150-200.

I strongly recommend getting a 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.

Take it without windows (you can get a Windows 11 key much cheaper) and build it yourself. If you do so you can save about 200$. I would also suggest to change rtx4060ti 8gb to 16gb

  14. PCGamer92ATS

Do not get a Gigabyte monitor. Colour saturation is terrible, contrast is off, and very noticeable light bleed from the sides. It’s all around a horrible monitor. Returned mine in a week.

  15. 1. Windows is like $5-$10 to activate

    2. They are over estimating the ram and ssd price, more like $50-$60 for both

    3. Mobo choice is weird, not sure why they don’t just get a b760/z790 with wifi for $170 or so

    4. Case + fans you can get for $70 ish

Just pointing this out to show that $100 build fee isn’t that accurate. They make probably $250+ off of this, which is fair for a prebuilt but just letting you know how much you could save/reinvest doing it on your own
