Yea. Same. Which is why she’s going back to Myers on the second run. They deserve eachother.

At that point i did a 180 and gave the cowbag to reed 🖕 songbird

I didn’t believe in cure from the beginning so it helped me a lot to side with So Mi

As soon as it became clear not was all as it seemed I went all in on Reed and protecting myself.

When she confessed in the last ride to the rocket that she had used V, I respected how well she tricked everyone to save herself considering V’s position, so I went through with at least getting her some help. It ended up playing into the Path of Glory ending pretty nicely since it was like the incepting moment for V learning about Mr. B.
But having said that, I personally remembered that maneuver, so the current playthrough isn’t going to end well for her.
Anchiros-The-Maw
To be honest, I always knew she was lying to me, from the minute she said there’d be a cure for both of us. But I did believe she considered me a friend, that she’d cut the bullshit and actually ask me genuinely… but it never came.
She only ever confessed when she believed she would die, and hence not face the full consequences of her actions. That to me says that she confessed more to ease herself rather than doing any of us any justice.
Sad, but a massive dick move. Tragic but very sour.
Still put her on the shuttle though. Cause fuck the Feds.

YOU WOULD’VE HELPED HER ANYWAY? LOL
I KILLED HER
SeanJayTheSauceGod
Idk why everyone likes So Mi, all she did was dodge accountability for the entirety of her existence. I made sure to keep her goofy ass alive for Myers then proceeded to meet hanako at embers with my don’t fear the reaper ending. Idk what the fuck she thought this was.

Nothing pissed me off more last year.

the truth is that I helped because I thought it would trigger a romance scene

Same, this scene, and especially the one after are the first time a game has truely broken me, i just sat with my jaw on the floor for the entire credits.

Sometimes you do the right thing even if the person you’re helping didn’t. I put her on the rocket because fuck the corpos and feds turning this woman into an abomination. Who cares if she lied? It doesn’t change the situation. Everyone is at some agenda or game.
PGyoda
the soundtrack at this part is so good
I knew there was gonna be a catch I just was waiting for her to finally say it
Dorfheim
Ah so this happens when i side with the walking nuke? Wellp, not gonna find out :’) Reed actually always does right by you and delivers the cure

People comparing So Mi to Myers don’t get the difference between doing something wrong for survival and doing it for petty political gain. Most Vs would obviously sympathize considering the amount of damage they caused to get rid of the relic.
MooseCentral1969
Considering that she contacts you right after the voodoo boy run and Im not very charitable at mama brigette’ (translate shot in the face) my V is not even worried about helping. Ive done 2 playthrus PI and I think Im gonna go play with arasaka tower some more.
MightyBone
I still sent her up, but that was because I really never considered a cure in this arc to be a reality, and ultimately her going to the moon is a better outcome than her being in the hands of the NUSA. And at least one person will get a happy ending in this god forsaken world (unless of course it turns out it is not a happy ending for her, but I think her gifts at the end suggest she did indeed get cured and in some capacity freed.)
And ultimately it was between Song and Reed, and I can understand the urge to survive and sympathize a lot more than the urge to serve an ideal; serve it so wholly I will die not once but twice for it and do as my boss orders, a boss I despise (Reed makes it clear he hates Myers on several occasions.)
I don’t hold the deception of V as something truly terrible because I think most people will manipulate 1 person to their death if it means they get to survive (and she’s only denying cure, not guaranteeing death for V.) Honestly most people in this sub would do the same as her if they believed it was genuinely the only way to survive. Cracking a few eggs to make the omelet is no problem when it’s your life that’s being saved for 99% of people (and you just have to lie, you don’t have to pull a trigger or do anything).
Oh – and for me the biggest thing is that from the other arc we can see she’s probably not really a bad person – she genuinely tries to save your life and doesn’t want you to die. She is genuinely sorry about everything that she felt had to happen for her to escape. For me the intentions and reason matter as much as the actions.

Am I the only person that didnt feel bad for her after finding out the truth?
CraftyHatband
Fully understand why people like So Mi, i really do, i get her whole backstory and what Myers did.
But her effectively taking it out on everyone around her, through the constant lies and manipulation, to the point where i don’t even think she’s aware of it? I couldnt
Gods-Might10
I know that a lot of people felt betrayed by So Mi here… And I won’t lie I felt that too, but I understood. Song was doing everything she could to survive, just like V. She is willing to say anything to get what she needed, just like V can be… In the main quest line we need the help, to some extent, of Judy and Panam. And people forget you don’t actually have to get involved any further in their story lines, you can immediately part ways from their stories as soon as you get what you need for the main story from them. But most of us play out their stories, for variety of reasons I’m sure but it’s because we come to enjoy those characters. Now flip the script, that’s what happens with SoMi and V, at first Song is just using V to get what she needs, but then song starts to like V and comes clean. Remember song was home free in this scene, if she had said nothing V puts her on the rocket and sends her off to the Moon. I think Song tells the truth here because she does legitimately care about V.
Beautiful_Draw_4392
All of them were just telling us why we wanted to hear to keep us cooperating with them. It’s fairly easy to guess that from the beginning both Reed, Myers and So Mi. It’s up to us to choose what path we follow but I will always go this route (having done all the others). So Mi deserves a chance just like V.
