What’s this whole thing with this Palworld “scandal” by the way?

Is someone not playing this game at the moment? xD

  3. DriveFastDoDrugs

I wish gamepass would release player numbers for it. Likely way higher than 2 mil across all platforms

  4. Palworld is a game which Ark and Pokémon fans deserved for years.

Youtube induced gamerhype is one helluva thang!

  6. Is this game that fucking good? I’ve never played Pokemon before so “Pokemon with guns” has 0 appeal for me. Seems fun tho.

This happened two days ago, after only being available for about 4-5 days.

time for the hourly palword playcount post. people jack this game off harder than bg3

Whilst I do enjoy the game, I don’t think it’s the Pokémon competitor people think it. It just doesn’t scratch the same itch for me, it doesn’t provide a good alternative to the Pokémon formula.

However it is a good alternative to Ark and should hopefully give Wildcard a kick up the arse.

I jumped on the bandwagon and have not been disappointed.

Finally played it for the first time yesterday.

It’s literally everything I wanted PLA to be. The only unfortunate thing is the frequent crashes in multiplayer. But I can’t exactly be surprised considering it’s early access.

For a dev with such bad history it’s amazing

Congrats to Palworld for finally motivating me to work on a new build, since it opens to a black screen and does nothing on my old-ass PC.

Extremely disappointed with this game I do not understand what all the hype is about.

It is absolutely nothing like Pokémon besides the fact they have monsters you catch in balls.

The battling system is boring there is literally nothing to do in the game besides build a base and fight monsters like what am I missing?

It got me playing Pokémon Showdown again which is 100% free and pokemons battling and the turn based system along with their monster selection still makes it 100x more fun then Palworld to me

I just find it wild how a game that nobody knew about 2 weeks ago, with no marketing or existing IP was able to sell this many units and hit concurrent player records during a weekday morning.

The gamers have spoken. Learn something gaming industry

It’s so fun and customizable so you can play on your terms. Looking forward to the bug fixes and future content!

I just hope that it lights a fire under GameFreaks ass so that we get a decent Pokemon game. I know that’s just copium at this point but my God, look at how much people will rally behind a decent monster catching game.

Finally getting into the lv 20’s with metal armor and a strong base. However, now electricity and manufacturing are coming into the picture, and my Satifactory addled brain can already tell it’s going to be another month of me setting up assembly lines and raw material inputs. At the very least the covered barn section with the soft beds and lights are set up for my pals.

How come it has so few reviews considering it appears to have outsold other games which have many many more reviews.

While it’s not really my thing, I’m glad it’s doing well. Pokémon has been stale for over a decade and despite Arceus changing it up, it runs terribly and I was bored after only a couple hours. Competition drives ingenuity.

Ive never played survival games that much and I tried this and loved it. The cute element of the pals and style of the game probably lurs a bunch of people who like cute cozy games too. It’s the perfect mix of cozy questing and adventure.

I hope when pvp is released it’s in a different area so you can still play on your own.

But I can see a bunch of amazing updates to this game that would knock our socks off like a world v world mode.

  23. let gamefreak take the whole pack of eggs to the face, I hope palworld is a lesson to the entire industry that any IP holders to stop resting on their laurels and coasting on producing bland boring games.

  24. Tbh the only thing palworld is missing is evolutions.

  25. brendel000

I really don’t get it, watched on twitch and I saw people shooting on cute creatures, not really what I want to do in my games.
