Most certainly a cyber power PC that someone bought, got absolutely hammered in shipping and let alone the auction house leaving it in the rain for a few hours.

Helped him Salvage what we could and cleaned the entire PC with a data vac and isopropyl. Salvaged Fans/Evga PSU/CPU/2TB NVME/2TB HDD/Aio.

Was quite sad to see how the GPU ended up. But what can you do, it was only $20.

So everything but the gpu and motherboard worked? Absolute W

Honestly you could probably still sell the 4090 as someone can pull the GPU chip off and use it

  3. acid_bat

That 4090 is probably still valuable for the core alone, the right person could reball it onto a doner pcb and get it working again, the cooler also looks to be in good shape, probably a little bit of money there as well.

  4. TheAdsAreHere

At that point you might as well gamble RMA on the gpu

Who thinks it’s a good idea ship the case with the gpu slotted in.. just take it out and ship in its own cardboard even the cpu cooler if its small stock one ok but those large ones also take out unless you want a hole in your motherboard cpu socket…

  6. You can sell the 4090 on eBay and still get a few hundred bucks. Even with the broken board someone will buy it for the other parts on the PCB and the chip

  7. ThrowRA0638

4090 looks fixable. Could even reinforce the PCB where it broke because it’s outside of the slot.

  8. talha5007

even gpu heatsink worth more than $20, let alone the cpu.

  9. Marco-YES

The motherboard looks repairable. I can replace that PCI Express socket

    Someone definitely dropped that computer.

  11. if you have 2 working fans in there, you have you money back.. let alone the cpu. absolute win.

  12. No_Engineering3493

Yeah, if you only salvage the CPU that’s 500$

  13. No_Engineering3493

You could try and contact someone that might repair the 4090

So it’s a lie, Asus TUR series is not so tough after all.

  15. SpottyJaggy

flip it for parts and gpu chips bios electronics 500$ easy

  16. If he went idk he can. Take the 4090 to a board repair shop so they can reattach the 12w power rail back to the board and that should fix it send it at parts of the GPU will be weak but will be operational

Keep the CPU AIO fans it was just too good and build a the new computer from them

  17. Vaiken_Vox

Strip it for parts and sell them. You will easily make your money back

  18. Doom-Trooper

Wow what a steal! I wonder how something like this ended up at an auction, let alone sell for only $20
