TL:DR: Found an RX 6800 XT at the suspiciously low price of 367.58 USD on Facebook marketplace.. . So I’m kinda skeptical but his Facebook account looks as normal as can be and he has a history of sales on Facebook (Facebook doesn’t have reviews so idk how they went) I think it’s a scam but everything except the price seems normal and safe, I asked him to meet me infront of a police station when buying the GPU from him.

Hello, I found an 2nd hand RX 6800xt for R7000 (367.58 USD) on Facebook market which is weird because apparently according to a quick Google search an RX 6800xt sells for around R13000 (688.61 USD) so this offer is too good to be true, originally I thought it was an elderly person who didn’t know what they were selling/mistook it for a Non XT varients which normally sells for the R7000 (367.58) range on 2nd hand markets but his Market profile showed multiple parts and components which made me think he knows his stuff.

I tried looking through his Facebook profile and I found that he’s had it since 2017 and hasn’t been active much besides pics of himself and his wife and clients from his small informal tattoo parlour. Through his profile I searched his last name on his friends list and noticed 7 or so accounts with his last name, after snooping through all of them for the sake of finding legitimacy in his account I noticed his Wife’s account looked normal for a woman of her age, loads of pics of them and their kids and a slightly more active account with her mainly sharing motivational quotes and such. Also stumbled upon his sons account along with his son’s wife, his daughter and a few other relatives. All with normal Facebook accounts accounting for their age with pics of family and different places and hobbies etc.

So this deal seems too good to be true but his account seems as normal and legit as can be. I’m planning on asking him to meet me infront of a police station to avoid a scam/robbery and I told him I won’t be bringing cash but will instead bring my rusty old phone to transfer it.

My friends also checked it out and said it looks normal but I don’t know, the price is waaaay too good to be true in terms of money.

Note: He said the reason for him selling this specific GPU is because he got a 7900xtx.

Hello East-Nail587, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!
