RIP anyone who recently bought a 4080

  2. Callieblep

Good luck getting one at msrp on launch day

  3. baconborn

Yes, 4080 super has a lower MSRP than 4080 does

  4. t-pat1991

$999.99 is the announced MSRP for the Super.

  5. ARatOnPC

Yeah OP this was confirmed. 4080 is discontinued.

  6. This has been known for a while but I sure am happy to see it. Never thought Nvidia would ever chill the fuck out.

  7. Yes. This is expected and officially announced and leaked well before that already.

  8. Cinargnz

    i bought a 7900xtx like 2 weeks ago now💀 fuck.

  9. notautogenerated2365

Yes, both of these cards are at MSRP… that’s how it is.

I know know the 4080 is being discontinued it is a joke

    Why is this surprising ?

    That’s literally what they announced.

  12. well of course the founders edition is the advertised base cost. Nvidia isn’t stupid enough to commit blatant false advertising of price. The AIB versions will only have a few at the $1000 base price and most will be close to or over $1100.

  13. atlas_enderium

Yup, because Nvidia finally came to their senses (kinda)

For those Navy service members: the NEX on my base has all 40xx in stock and 40xxSU series cards are labeled on the shelf but not put out until the 31st.

    Tax free.
    At MSRP.

  15. EggyRepublic

The cheapest 4080 goes for $1150. I have a strong suspicion the 4080 Super will be sold out for months or be sold at the same price as the 4080.

  16. Humble_Mix8626

    american prices are sweat

while tht europe is selling the 4070 Super for 800€

  17. MyTeaIsMighty

I’ve never tried to buy an FE card on release but I wanna get the 4080s ASAP. Do they typically sell out instantly?

  18. Humble-Search-282

Whats the suprise here? This is known info for the majority.

  19. Zestyclose-Local8137

Ya, I just bought my 4080 like 2 months ago.

  20. maddix30

The super series is essentially a price drop with some added stuff to sweeten the deal

  21. ComradeWeebelo

Realistically, you shouldn’t be paying for either of these cards. Nvidias pricing is just insane at this point.

  22. Ninjamasterpiece

    Because that’s the actual msrp

  23. No_Personality8140

I’m honestly surprised stores haven’t given a slight discount to these cards yet. 4070ti still going for 850 on best buys site.

  24. Joebranflakes

Once the 4080 is out, Nvidia will probably allow retailers to list it at a lower price. I’m hoping it’s not going to be 849.99 but it probably will be.

  25. R_Thorburn

Never understood why they don’t discount the originals but I have seen some non super 3000 series perform really well. I could be wrong but I heard at one point that they used better silicon for the original launch cards.

Happy to have someone correct me on that.

  26. MedicalSchoolStudent

4080 Super is a lower MSRP than the 4080.

If you ask me, the 4080 Super price is still really high for what it is – a gaming card.

Reality is: if you want to play games with high FPS, you are looking at the 4080/4070. The 4090 is more of a work card. If you are paying nearly 2K for a 4090 just to game, you are really rich or not good with money.

OP got roasted so hard he had to delete his account.
