*That was a side-effect of an in-progress Quality of Life feature slated for release during Season 2.*
*The bug has since been fixed, but how about a preview of that in-progress QOL? 👀”*

I was getting killed by airstrikes with no warning in season 1 before the patch.

That’s a great change!
Prodigees
Terrible change
LordSnowgaryen
Big fan, very frustrating to run into a precision because you were out of the notification range initially.
tehcoma
This is on the map for everyone?
Boo. Makes this basically worthless.
Riot_Shielder
lol. Shit change.
Hi_im_nsk
Precisions should be reduced to about 3k if thats the case, people used to run far and wide from them due to unknown direction now youll not even have to jump off the rooftop
eyeballeddie
Terrible change. No longer be able to PA into someone’s path when you see them running and getting some surprise kills.
MrSouthWest
Should only appear when you are using a certain perk and not for everyone.
OkCompany9593
this is unnecessary, just let me not die from precisions through 10 flights of stairs

I will never forget when I *almost* won my first game back on Verdansk. I came 2nd because an airstrike was put down on my location. I immediately sprinted away in one direction, assuming that I’d clear the path. Still died.
To those who say this is a bad change and makes air strikes useless, the whole point of air strikes in a competitive moment is to either 1) make someone move from their location (either away from you, away from a power position, or force them to leave cover), or 2) finish a downed player. It can still accomplish both of those goals. I’ve never played with someone who used a precision or mortar for the sole purpose of specifically trying to get a down, usually that happens by lucky chance. If you’re someone who places an airstrike hoping to get a down, you’re using them wrong.
This is better overall because sometimes you happen to run into a precision that you had no idea even existed, because you were not in its range initially so therefore received no audio notification. Those moments feel cheesy and unfair.
The only scenario that this kind of ruins is that clutch moment you get a prediction air strike on a vehicle driving away/towards you. That always feels good, because you had to predict exactly where the car would be. But that happens so rarely, I don’t think it’s necessarily a must-have, and would definitely trade that interaction up for visual cues on airstrike locations.
Is this realistic? No. Your enemies in a real-life combat situation would not be aware of an incoming precision airstrike’s exact path and target like this. But who cares? This is a video game.

This will definitely make them less effective, but I’ll take this over the countless deaths where there’s absolutely no notification. This is the lesser of two evils by far.
newtro2k
I would be ok with this change if it is visible only to the player/team calling the precision. Better way of visualizing and not killing yourself with your own streak
duhbears23
Don’t care for it I already thought a loud voice telling you “Precision airstrike incoming” or whatever it says was enough already.
Connect-Internal
As others have said, this is a terrible change. If they’re going to add something like this they should add the jets getting louder so you know a airstrike is coming.
izmebtw
I don’t like the no notification glitch but I do wish PA were more viable. You should just get a voice saying ‘PA incoming’ and not a visual identification.
merskrilla
They already had this for the Godzilla firebreath! Â
Azal_of_Forossa
I wish it didn’t show the direction for the enemies. Like, we need a way of seeing it is hitting an area, bc notifications are not reliable at all for popping up even if youre in the area its gonna hit. But showing the direction to enemies gives them way too much info, showing the general area of effect (like a big ass circle showing all possible directions it could hit) would be far better.
blissthebadger
Twitter is loving this QOL… shame.
Breakpoint
They put too much stuff in the minimap, it is hard for players with low vision to see this stuff
Choingyoing
Yeah we’ll see about that lol. Every time I go to the menu to change loadout in lockdown it freezes the game until I unpause. Also it’s still crashing like crazy for me and I even re installed yesterday.
pitnat06
This is dumb. I hope they don’t a fault do this.
