i’ve hit my motherboard pretty hard before during installation and no damage has been done. i think it’ll be okay but the only way to know is to test it

If the copper traces are broken then yes, hard to see on the picture. But it’s an “easy” fix for a repair show or dyi if you have a portable sodering kit

Does it turn on? Are you seeing anything weird?

Follow the traces and test for continuity.
If they’re good just cover it with some nail polish or uv solder mask.
If they’re bad you can solder a wire to bridge them but depending on where it goes (RAM) it could result in instability.

I can tell ya im seeing the traces from that scratch… tough to tell if its gonna short ur board. not a professional but id say ur a 50/50 on this one.

Based on the picture , it looks ok , the traces look intact, a bit dented, but should be ok – put a dab of nail polish to cover up the scratch.
Let it dry and you should be good to go.

Try it. If it works, do a memtest for a while… if it passes cover that shit with something protective that doesn’t require or exert heat. Maybe polish?

Traces aren’t shorted, not deep enough to cut through them, put a small piece of tape over it so it doesn’t short to anything else and you should be fine.

Ouch, looks nasty. Still it will probably work. Doesn’t look like there is short, just mostly paint scratch. Still I would use nail polish and smeared it over. Exposed coper is a no no in pc.

Don’t power up until that trace is repaired, simple fix but if attempting yourself proceed with caution, practice on an old circuit first, or find a shop. It appears not to be ‘broken’ however. Needs magnified/mm inspection to be 100%.

It should be fine but you’re in risk of shorting if it contacts another conductive surface while powered on, cover it with some nail polish and non conductive tape if you don’t have access to solder mask

Most boards have fairly thick layered traces these days.
If they are damaged these are visible enough to be repaired by an experienced professional. Not really a DIY like some commenters are saying unless you have at least a small amount of soldering experience and decent equipment.

i would try to boot up and memtest
