Seems like an ok price for the spec to me but wanted to get the expert opinion!

If you exclusively game in 1080p and without super high standards, this is a fine rig.

Personally, i would save up more money and get something more current. This is several generations dated.

i’m running a 9700k and a 2060 Super (Signficantly faster than the one on the picture) and i’m feeling due for an upgrade in the games i play

It’s not bad but not great. The biggest problem points are the small SSD and the lack of good upgrade options. To elaborate, if you were to modernize, you’d have to replace the mobo, CPU and RAM since that mobo socket is quite old and modern RAM is on DDR5.

It’s a good price for what’s there, but that SSD size will really hurt, modern games are huge and that thing will hold like 3-4.

Edit: it’s also second hand, which could mean any number of things, from someone’s old gaming rig to spare parts from old mining rigs pieced together.

Decent, especially given the 2yr warranty. Remove the HDD and trade back to them for store credit against a bigger SSD. Keep the current SSD as boot drive.

No. That’s like, mid-end hardware from six years ago? Not worth it.

  5. ChillOUT_LoFi

When has CEX every make a good deal? Lol

  6. amypond420

Nah that’s an ancient pc and not even enough storage

  7. XenonJFt

yep very good. get an nvme ssd and boom all good to go

  8. That’s close to my exact specs lol. It was gifted to me as a prebuilt Omen maybe 3 years ago. Gifter paid a lot more than that for it!

  9. I think that for 1080p without raytracing it should be very nice. Price is nice. You dont need the lastest technology to enjoy good pc gaming. I would buy an extra 1 tb SSD, would keep the 1 tb HDD

    256 SSD for Windows
1 tb SSD for newer games that update regularly
1 tb HDD for media storage and old games (ie: games from GOG.com or light games)

It’s fine. It’s not great, and I don’t understand why people are saying otherwise.

It’s fine, but honestly scratching around on eBay, you could put it together for less, of course.

  11. Fun-Drawing-7181

Pretty decent actually. Capable of most games for 350 is good.

  12. FieldOfFox

The CPU is a bit wanky but it will work, especially as the 2060 plays a bunch of games still, at 1080.

But I think you could get 9th gen Intel CPU on “LGA1151” socket as an upgrade.

Although if you’re super beginner, maybe don’t go upgrading CPUs – you need the right motherboard chipset + BIOS + etc.

It would be good to know if the RAM is 2x8gb or 1x16gb. With a 8700 RAM speed is fairly irrelevant but you really want dual channel.

Its one of those cases where if I needed a pc on hand Id buy it but since I already have one theres not really a point in getting it? Like… its fine and will probably run most stuff at low settings at 1080 but it really depends on what you need it for

  15. kevoisvevoalt

heck no even a ps5 or a series x is better at those prices.

  16. Chadthode_Ray_Tube

I had this exact setup initially just with a 1060 6GB instead of the 2060. For 350 pounds thats not bad at all

  17. kieranmchale1998

    i guess so i mean a rtx2060 is like 160-200 alone

  18. Tof12345

absolutely not. the gpu is 6gb. you can get a i7 8700 pc from ebay for like £200 and with the remaining £150 you can buy a gtx 1080 ti which will crush the 2060.

the price is just ok. not a steal, not a rip off.

  19. Ricko9595

Not bad if you have no setup in first place

  20. Yeah for older games at 1080p this will do you fine. Whether it’s good value it’s hard to say given the age of the hardware.

  21. creedz286

It’s decent. Not an amazing deal like some are saying but not a rip off. It’d play most games pretty well at 1080p.

  22. Straight_Run5680

It doesn’t seem bad in my opinion

  23. kriscalm

close to my build, 8700k and rtx 2070 though. ITS THAT CHEAP NEW? WHAT??

edit: second hand. still though. crazy i thought it was a lot more. also i have a pc, this is a laptop so more expensive… holy shit

  24. Mike_for_all

For the UK market that is pretty good ye
