Yeah it’s cute and all until they piss and ruin the PC. It’s happened and allowing cats or any pet to do this shouldn’t be the norm. Get them a nice, tall cat tower with a heat pad, and they’ll never even look at the pc. The reason they climb that is not even because it’s warm, it’s because it’s the highest vision point around and they feel safer there.

My cats aren’t allowed on pc. They don’t even try it because believe it or not cats learn from mistakes. They don’t like getting swatted at (not stricken, mind you), sprayed at, loud noises, etc. Cats react most to positive reinforcement, so getting them to *not* perform certain undesired behaviors is difficult once they learn something is acceptable to do
