This suddenly gave me a random ass idea: put low-end hardware stickers on high-end systems to help prevent theft.
I have a Intel core i3 sticker from my school laptop on my old blue switch lite. (I use a switch oled now.)
I stuck the ones that came with my r5 5600g to a 12 y.o. laptop with an i3 2350m
A bin at a job I once had had stickers from P4’s – Athlon 64’s – Xeon’s – TR’s – right up to I9 & R9.
I put one on my dog’s cone of shame once
I took the 8th gen i7 sticker from my old laptop and put it on my old iPhone 6s. I have since replaced both as daily drivers.

Yeah according to the sticker now my 5 year old 200$ laptop is running a ryzen 5 series.
