Is the Lockwood 680 balanced?

    More or less. If it wasn’t balanced the whole lobby would be running it. The pick rate at the moment is 2-3% (and I bet most of those are mouse players anyway using it out of necessity). It has significant range trade offs compared to SMGs which are more versatile. The only possible point of contention is the fire rate with the light bolt being a bit too fast, otherwise it’s well balanced as it generally requires movement and skill to do well with it.

    yeah 100% its good and requires good movements without missing a shot to work. Haymaker and riveter on the other side is just spam and should be nerfed to ground. speacially with the fire rounds.

    It’s balanced. They give up that close-mid range effectiveness you get with SMGs like the Swarm and Striker. You can easily out range the Lockwood with every single gun in the game. It’s literally only good in CQB, and with most gunfights being Sniper/AR or AR/SMG most people don’t really engage you that distance anyway.

    It’s good in CQB and sometimes last circle if it lands near buildings, otherwise it can be completely useless.

    the 2 shot potential is not reliable, i dont think is super broken, it is fun, and i rather die to that than die to a braindead guy with fire auto shotgun

    The fair fights that you won, you won because you jump strafed enough to break AA. 

    Pump shot guns encourage this but you can accomplish the same with an smg.

    Of course, you have to have enough space to move so it doesn’t always work. I suggest MnK players give it a try just to get the feel for breaking AA. Because once you get the hang of it winning fair fights becomes much easier.

  15. The TTK on this thing is what, about 600-700ms even with the fast chamber bolt iirc? It feels like it’s killing really fast but it actually is just about the same as an SMG, give or take maybe about 50-70ms difference.

    Unless you’re a cracked out movement god or you’re in a tight hallway or stairwell, you won’t be able to handle more than like, 2 people at most, and even then you most likely will be able to crack the 2nd guy before going down assuming the enemies have even the slightest clue of what they’re doing.

    This thing is arguably the best ( and most balanced ) shotgun we have atm, but knowing the community it’ll be nerfed anyway because dying to anything that isn’t an SMG up close is unacceptable and that weapon is clearly cheesy and overpowered ( even though it really isn’t )
