    In sleep mode your only hope is if you do not have a unified front panel connector. Then you can just pull the power led wire. Otherwise, your cutting said wire if not unified. At which point just tape over it.

    There might be a software to control that. If not, unplug the power led from the motherboard. Or just always power off the pc, it’s better for it anyways.

    As someone who does a lot of AFK gaming I feel your pain. There should be a way in the monitor settings or in downloadable software to change this. If not, then tape/sticker is the best move.

    I just yank the plug out of the wall without shutting down anything, never had any problems.

    Dude shut down your pc. It makes it slower and wastes energy to put it to sleep.

    If you absolutely must, at least put it to hibernate, that at least doesn’t waste energy.

    Check the bloatwa- i mean proprietary software if it can control that, if not then just unplug the rgb cables, and if it’s still not possible then just open up the case and sticker or black out the diodes with a marker or something (did this with my mouse cause it had constant rgb).

    And this is why I still prefer separated cables for front IO – you can easily unplug the power and HDD LEDs.

    With the speed of modern drives, I find sleep largely a pointless feature

    There is a worse pattern than this one in the software like the logo blinking rapidly.
    Otherwise Legion prebuilts are pretty cool

    Blame the case manufacturer. You can remove the power to those LEDs aswell it won’t harm anything.

    What I don’t like about my legion laptop. Fantastic laptop, just hate that the lid logo flashes when the laptop is put to sleep. I don’t mind the power button slowly blinking, but would love it if the lid logo didn’t blink aswell as I have the laptop in my room with me. Having the lid logo turned off in the controller software doesn’t do anything for this. Yes I know i can just shut down the laptop, but that gets mildly annoying having to turn it back on then wait and hope all your stuff loads back up correctly (looking at you G-Hub)

    Yes I have also tried legion toolkit and that doesn’t have anything for turning off the lid logo during sleep either.

    There might be an option in the BIOS to make sure LED is turned off when the computer is turned off, or “sleeping”

    Honestly sleep mode is only useful if you haven’t finished a task yet and you perhaps have many windows open and you just want to continue right where you left.

    Otherwise, SSD’s are fast as hack these days. I had a laptop that could bood in 6 seconds after a clean install.

    And this is simply an option you can amend or disable on your own, way to go to create a problem out of nothing.

    And yes, some people like rhythmic lights, they set the mood or help someone fall asleep. Your preferences are not general for the whole population you know?

    I have a legion PC too.

    You can control the behavior of lights in the Lenovo app (it’s called Vantage I think)

    You can deactivate that in windows. Go to control panel, power option or control and there you will have to search a bit for an option about a backpanel or somthing like this.
    Had this on a few laptop and always had a way to shutdown this light when pc is in sleep.

    first thing I do is turn all of the lights off whether that means software or those case fans I got on a really good sale gets spray painted.

    Look for the PWRLED pin for the front Io and take it out.

    Seems like lenovo legion. Lenovo has on app where you can shut all your lights out or customise how the lights work.

    Genuine question, why do people not power off their Pc when not in use? I mean I understand leaving it on if you have a really long boot time or take a quick break from whatever you’re doing but is there a reason for not turning it off over night?

    I had a cheap motospeed mouse(not a bad one though) that would glow RGB all the time with no way to change, had to break the LEDs with a screwdriver. Drove me mad xD

    Now I have the kinda the same mouse with capable software thank god.
