Yo what the hell. All I ever find at Goodwill is old lady kitchenware. How do people be finding shit like this? I’m astounded. Befuddled. Flabbergasted.

There are a few things to look out for here, the wrong amount of pins, the ihs (metal that says 5800x) can be switched with anything else, am3 cpus were a common scam when am4 came out years ago. The cpu may be legit, but with bent pins, sometimes easily fixable, sometimes fucked pins, or worse, broken / missing pins.
Ik you don’t have any way to check rn, but the cpu could be blown up from overclocking, or have been dropped and a memory channel was lost.

Just upgraded my Dad from an i7-3770 to my old Ryzen 5 5600X. He def notices the big difference! Made him get a NVME SSD with a new motherboard and he is set for a while again.
