It genuinely saddened me that Takemura couldn’t be brought to understand if you stuck it to Arasaka. He’s sorta right that most who revolt against megacorps don’t give much of an alternative to power, but they so readily quash any attempt at resistance so that the idea appears foolish by default. I liked to think that fighting your way through the abandoned hotel really solidified the bond between Goro and V, which made the call where he condemns you in the sun ending heartbreaking for me.

Goro isn’t your friend. He’s corpo to the bone. V is useful to him, that’s all. The moment that changes, dude will slit your throat if it advanced his or Arasaka’s goals.
Jackie… He’s just sad to think about. He just saw the glitz and missed the blood you had to wade through to get there. Like a would-be Hollywood starlet, unaware of how many casting couches she has to get through to get her name on the marquee.
