Last night my guy and I were in T2 heading to pickup a bounty contract when I saw a nearby player was pleading. I’ll always revive somebody so I started running to the icon. I ran up this hill and when I got to the top I could see the pleas were in a little building and there was a total swarm of zombies, dogs, manglers and mimics absolutely everywhere. Never seen anything like it in the game.
My dumb ass decided to try to help anyway, so I threw decoys and crashed through the window into the building. BIG MISTAKE bc it was full of zombies and a ton of dogs too. There were so many I couldn’t even see where the downed players actually were. I went down immediately.
Used my spare self rez, threw decoy and frag and jumped right back out the window yelling at my man “don’t come down here!” lmao. He was laughing because a herd of dogs chased me up the hill as I ran. I marked about where it was on the map.
I felt bad I didn’t get those guys up – if I’d had kazmirs I could’ve maybe done it but I didn’t have any. I hope they at least got to laugh at my surprise and freaking out. But my question is – WTF did they do to spawn all that? It wasn’t anywhere near an exfil or the storm.

Outlast contract. Was probably trying to farm and got overwhelmed.
Mayyyybe raid weapon and mimics came from nearby stronghold? But raid weapon usually only spawns one mangler.
I usually see a couple of mimics on that hill when I drive by, I just assumed they always spawn there for no special reason. Maybe there’s big aether chests in that building?
I usually see this if I’m doing an outlast or raid contract next to an infested stronghold. Rare, but not unheard of.
