One of my complaints about 2077 coming from a Cyberpunk tabletop player
I think there’s alot of male-centric design to the world and game that wasn’t as prevalent in the tabletop, and Midnight Lady is one of them. In the Tabletop, Midnight Lady and Mister Stud implants were a part of the game as flavor implants you could get your character, and they were discrete sexual enhancement implants. Their actual specific nature was always vague and the benefits they provided were not explicit in nature, but you assumed it was a genitalia based thing. Something about making it a dick sucking boob job implant in 2077 makes it seem more like a “These exist specifically to please men” that lacks the kind of empowerment having a super cooch does in my opinion.
I think that, in a world where sex and prostitution are so rampant and normalized, joytoys have to market themselves as more and more “exotic” to their clients, similar to how porn addicts seek out increasingly extreme pornographic content because their brain doesn’t get the same kind of rush from seeing “regular” content.
