You kill one cop, another will fill their shoes. You bribe a cop, then you’re in business.

Reed did all the work. After all, you’re no Morgan Blackhand.

Because by that point you’re more than likely gonna be 50 street cred

My two cent is, street cred reflects how legendary of a merc you are. Killing maxtac is cyberpsycho territory and I don’t think fixers want to work with someone like that. If anything, getting wanted stars by butchering the police should decrease street cred as then you devolve into an unhinged thug instead of a sophisticated criminal. With that said, it would be cool if the game acknowledged it somehow when you first successfully take down a maxtac assault and lose the stars.

“You offed an entire Max Tac team by yourself??? Bullshit”

— Merc can flatline an entire warehouse of Maelstrom? My kind of choom.
— Merc can flatline an entire MaxTac squad? Either he’s the mother of all cyberpsychos, or an unhinged psychopath…

I think its because, of all the things you can do, killing MaxTac is not something anyone will look up to you for. Lots of people are afraid of Cyberpsychos, and for those people MaxTac is an assurance and a comfort. You killing them not only means you are an unhinged monster or close, but that you are also helping other unhinged monters.

there’s no point since the street crew system is seriously underdeveloped

I just really want their cool looking fits. But I’m on console and play Male V

Because Maxtac deal with the people not even the worst criminals ever want to deal with, chromed out cyberpsychos who view everyone else as ants for the slaughter.

Does street cred even have a purpose anymore? Pre 2.0 I remember that certain cyberware, clothing, and weapons could only be unlocked if you had a high enough street cred, but after my most recent play through I don’t remember seeing street cred as a requirement to buy anything.

I would prefer they drop tier++ equipment.
Or some iconic versions of cyberware. Or their armor.

I have 500000 THAT I GRINDED MY ASS OFF FOR. I SET UP A SAVE POINT AND I SPENT IT ALL. IT TOOK ME 3 ITEMS TO SPEND IT ALL ON. W. T. F.

Bruh I want their new uniforms.

In real life, right now, if you shot a couple of cops and were stupid enough to go brag about it so your name rings out on the street, once it got back to the cops, your only chance at surviving would be to run, not walk, to the nearest precinct and turn yourself in, because they will hunt you down and kill you on the street if they can.
What do you think would happen in Night City?
GamingNemesisv3
It should remove street cred since you sre going cyberpsycho

‘Oh god the cyberpsycho just killed MaxTac, he’s so fucking cool!!!’

Would you hire the dude who killed a hostage rescue swat team solo for anything but a “scorched earth” contract? That’s just bad business and I would stay far away from that person just because of the fact that they even did it
Different-Produce870
I typically max out street cred before level 30.

By the time you’re able to stand up to them you’re probably maxed out. I wish I could loot some unique weapons or cyberware from them
