You may need to remove the RAM stick(s) for a bit as well; wouldn’t be a first that would solve the problem.
Note: if this and removing CMOS battery didn’t solve the problem – you didn’t remove them from the mobo long enough… or, well, you toasted your RAM, congrats. =)
