As in the title, I need new speakers but can’t decide on color and model. Any advice for up to $200? Whole setup is a WIP after moving it to a different room and upgrading the desk

    I’d suggest to invest more and buy some audio grade studio monitors. You can thank me later. Never cheap ouy on audio – they can easily last you 10+ years.

    Check out these – ‘edifier speakers s880db’. USB connectivity, Bluetooth and more. Very impressive sound and highly recommend. You can pick up for under $200. They’re wooden framed with a white front and black speaker grills. Look really good. I’ve invested so many hours into researching decent desk speakers and these were my number one choice.

    Build your own speakers, or get a flatpak. You can paint them however you like.

    With a [Dayton DTA-2.1BT2](https://www.parts-express.com/Dayton-Audio-DTA-2.1BT2-100W-2.1-Class-D-Bluetooth-Amplifier-with-Sub-Frequency-Adjustment-300-3831?quantity=1) AMP, it comes with 100W output for a passive sub, which you can add later. You get yourself a pretty good setup for a bit over $200.

    As a bonus, they will sound better than anything till you actually get something higher end, like $500+
