Letting So Mi have what she wanted after she murderd hundreds of innocents in the stadium and backstabbed everybody who ever trusted her is not a good ending. Period.
Even if someone was able to figure out that place (which only SoMi and V knew they went there together). What does sending a token to V accomplish?
At this point, I don’t see any reason to not take the ending at face value.
I think Songbird being sent to the moon could have really interesting ramifications for the sequel. There’s no way they won’t bring back Blue eyes in some way in the next game.
Ever since I figured out songbird was getting outside help I was sus af. Mainly cause what stops people from using her like Myers and the NUSA did? Nothing.
Killing her is the best ending. First of all a weapon of mass destruction is gone, second of all she can’t be used by anyone therefore she’s kind of “free”. It’s morally the best choice in my opinion
The best outcome for So Mi is to kill her when picking the Reed path, that’s the only way to release her from her pain.
Also if you pick the Killing Moon path, send So Mi to the moon and then return where the van was parked, you’ll find a shard with a last message from her. And nearby you’ll find a homeless guy with familiar blue eyes, I believe he was also present but hidden when you met So Mi before taking her to the spaceport.
None of the endings are good.
Personally I just sent her to the Moon cause she got free of NUSA filthy hands, Reed after everything is still just a loyal dog to Myers, and that’s all he’ll ever be
The problem is we dont know. We dont know what Blue Eyes goals are so we also dont know what he would do to songbird.
I’m sorry, I know this isn’t the point of this post but I can’t help laughing hard at the concept of a narrator talking about So Mi, followed by someone yelling “SHUT UP”, and then the narrator responding with “they hated Jesus because he told them the truth”.
I just find non-sequiturs really funny I guess. 😀

Sending So Mi to the Moon keeps her out of Myers’ hands. Alive, she goes right back to being used to find a way to make a Blackwall weapon. Dead, her body goes to Groom Lake for “examination,” and most likely harvesting whatever they can get to continue the experiment.

Myers is literally a war criminal and Song is a ticking time bomb that repeatedly makes gonk decisions. My fav ending is putting Song out of her misery, spitting in Myers’ face and letting my new friend Reed know that he doesn’t have to be the soldier slave of the NUSA anymore.
To the moon is the most epic one. (Gate K9 music and Unleash Blackwall goes hard) Also I went through that whole thing without noticing anything of this “Blue eyes” character lol
Story wise siding with Reed and saving So mi is probably best, considering we get a lot of her Backstory and the robot is scary as fuck.
I don’t know why but I feel like I’ve experienced that Giant robot with Myers elevator hiding scene and escaping from the robot somewhere else on YT something a long time back (which is weird coz phantom Liberty is few months old) is there a similar fight to that in another game/movie they were referencing??
She wanted to be free from Myers, well she got that. If Mr Blue Eyes uses her well, I don’t really care. That was her choice and did it willingly and she will face the consequences for it.
I will never let So Mi in the clutches of the NUSA in most playthroughs. But she uses V and manipulates them. If things turn out worse for her on the moon, then that’s just karma and it happened by her own free will. I’m completely content with it.
The question Cyberpunk and to a greater extent PL pose is: what’s better a long life or a short great life? They dont have an answer but depending on your answers it tells you what you think. It is proof games are art and I love seeing all the arguments in this sub about the endings.

It’s one of those things where I don’t know what Mr Blue Eyes is gonna do but I do know what Meyers is going to. So might as well take the chance
If you want a good ending for so mi, she has to die. That’s the unfortunate reality of it..
Best ending is where you abandon Song Bird at the start of exapansion and she cries how Mayers is dead now.

I still have to play the moon ending, but I betrayed her to Reed and it was a complete mess in the best way possible. I loved the Max Tac part. The Tower ending made me depressed for a few days tho.
That’s Songbird’s problem now. V did everything she wanted. Consequences are on her.
Nightcorp and Mr. Blue Eyes have been sending Netrunners like So Mi to the moon for a long time now, experimenting on revolutionary AI algorithms. Most of the time, these AI are just as cruel as those beyond the Blackwall.
How do I know this? If you aid Sandra Dorsett later on and hack her data drive, you’ll see the full extent of Nightcorps depravity.
Later on, in her logged text diaries it’ll go even deeper, detailing that they’re main base of operations is in Luna.
Most of the evidence suggests Blue Eyes means to use So Mi much in same way or worse as with Myers, hence why I don’t like the ending.
I think killing her (as her wish) is the best ending because:
1. You put a stop to all of her pain and tragedy and you give her a real freedom that she deserves.
2. Myers won’t get her back
3. Reed fails his mission, this results to NUSA and Myers being pissed and never contacting him again.
4. More enjoyable gameplay. That Kurt Hansen boss fight is top notch, not to mention the Resident Evil gameplay!
Granted that this path kills Alex (sad, I know), I think this is the best outcome for Songbird. Let’s be real, she’s a huge fuck-up and a walking problem and she does not deserve a good plain happy ending but dying in her own terms is better than being a puppet for another org again.

I don’t know where people pulled this idea that blue eyes controls the moon or something but there is literally nothing to suggest that other than Sandra Dorsett theorizing and just like Gary we don’t have enough info and evidence to know there is a actually something going on. songbird literally states that he got what he wanted out of her aka info on Myers and the NUSA.
It doesn’t matter, she’s literally the bad guy.
My male V sent his bff to the moon, my female V returned her ass back to the NUSA and got a cool new AI buddy to help with combat

You don’t know, we don’t know and although it’s possible, it’s also possible she’s just having fucking tea time with Lucy up there. Same time it’s possible she got fucked over and is in a worse place than she was in the FIA. Either way that’s what she wanted and me and my V’s are none too happy to oblige.
You’re speculating so this is NOT ‘the truth’ (so wrong meme format) that you think it is and SoMi herself mentions that this could happen and recognizes it. When it comes to Mr Blue Eyes I believe that they’re trustworthy enough that V in the Sun ending decides to put their faith in him. I think his motivations are nefarious, but that he keeps his promises, kind of like a Faustian bargain. So I do believe that SoMi is free (to some degree)on the moon and that Mr Blue Eyes cures V if they succeed the Crystal Palace heist.
PS: That whole ‘is it even her that sends you a message?’ is kind of a dumb question. Ofc it is her. If she was dead or in captivity no one would bother to send you anything. Since V probably doesn’t even expect to hear from her again it literally doesn’t make sense that anyone but SoMi would bother. Like did Mr Blue Eyes get one of his AI interns to look through SoMi’s memories to send you her stuff at that specific location ? Logically no, so she’s alive and has enough freedom to FedEx stuff to very specific spots on earth.
Killing her would be the best ending. NUSA doesn’t get her. Mr Blue Eyes doesn’t get her. We may get five more years before AI apocalypse. Not that we are going to see them but still.

They locked it behind that snorefest attempt at horror game that was the last mission.
Maybe, but I (and maybe it’s cope) like to think he did indeed let her go because he got 3 things that he really wanted, and Songbird who isn’t an FIA agent hacking the blackwall is essentially useless to him for now – He got FIA secrets; He got access and perhaps ahold of Blackwall technology from her head; and he got the initiation of a corporate war between Night Corp and Orbital Air.
It is completely unnecessary to send V anything once she is sent to the moon. No matter what happens to her up there, if you’re Blue Eyes V is out of the picture – but also Songbird is most likely useless unless you load her up with something and send her back to FIA as a cyber nuke or something. Blue Eyes shows he has immense hacking power akin to hers already. So I don’t think it makes sense that she didn’t send you the thank you herself.
Now as to if she deserved or it’s the best choice – who knows. It’d be very cool to see resolutions to the outcomes of those decisions in the next game (via subtle multi-prong questions about what happened to that Merc and that FIA agent or something).
