It sucks but what are you gonna do?

I’d find a better job. That’s why I taught myself valuable skills.

EDIT: Lol, I get the downvotes are from frustrated people, but literally what do you suggest she does? Nothing will change this. Corporations already own everyone.

I don’t understand why they won’t just burn all corpo.

  3. Brief-Government-105

Blame the corpos, not the regular gonks.

  5. We couldn’t do that shit 20 years ago either. In 2003 I HAD to have a roommate.

40 years ago, is when you could live on your own.

  6. I feel like this will be a GTA 6 cut scene.

She says “you” like boomers or gen x or millennials had input on how the economy is run.

  8. It’s funny how she says 20 years ago, but 20 years ago was 2003. This thing was already in full swing.
You have to go back 40 years for this argument to work, sadly.

is like this EVERYWHERE, not only in the US.

She looks like the girl that stopped the virtual nuke into Biotechnica (BTW, she works less hours and days than me :'( and yet, I can barely pay an ice cream without having the remorse that I’m wasting my money)

I am not American I have lived for a short time in several western European countries, it’s pretty much the same as in the US from what I can see in the housing situation which is getting global in the western world.

If you work at the local Walmart why would you need to find a place and not just stay at your parent’s place?

If you don’t work at your local Walmart why did you move away just to work at some Walmart?.

You have these big tech and other companies that can pay a lot of money and are situated in the middle of the most wanted areas of the country and because of that you have the state raising tax because of that good paying jobs while ranters and building companies are now getting taxed more and the circles gets bigger while people who do not earn as much cannot afford it.

It’s not any generations fault because we were never in this situation before.

And if it’s not that it’s just that we don’t have enough housing because you can’t just knock down homes people live in and make it an apartment building just like that.

Tough luck our generation was born into the same cities with the same mindset of what homes are and now Humans are at the stage of redefining what our lives look like we find ourselves in cities that cannot handle the amount of people that want to live in them.

You have locals who compete with foreign cheap labourers who have no problem living together in order to live there and earn money.

Unless you don’t have a life partner and or kicked out there is zero reason you would need to live alone, stay home.

I’m not sure why anyone thinks they are supposed to get a job(literally any job) and alone make it, it hasn’t been possible for a lot of people for more than 30 years now in some places, you are not one in a hundred people competing for housing you are one in a few tens of thousand and with the rate the US is going it’s literally have millions upon millions that cross over in search of better life but in all fairness the US it’s states and the EU should be accountable for their own citizens first and Job seeking migrants way later.

Remember all of them comedies in which you have “roommates” like in “friends” yeah that stuff is from the 80s 90s and it represents the same reality that people cannot afford to live alone.

The weird thing is, when I got my first well paid job 33 years ago, I could only afford a bedroom in a shared house.
