Aren’t Atompunk & Raypunk (never heard of it before) pretty much related? They look to be very similar aesthetics. I also think when most people think dieselpunk they think Mad Max over blimps & neofascists but then again I’m not super familiar with the genre outside of Mad Max either.

Just remember not to forget the punk part when add the punk suffix. The prefix is just tech, the punk part is about looking at the crushing aspects of real world and dialing it up to 11, and about (generally) a younger generation trying to get by. And remember there are almost no happy endings. Even when the punks “win” it comes at a huge cost.

I personally like Dieselpunk more. Though I don’t think there’s a lot of media with that setting. There’s the movie Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and the video games Crimson Skies and the Wolfenstein series before the time jump. But I can’t think of any more.
