For context: you’re talking about the missing chip on the DIMM?

  2. DarkestBadger

Crucial is just B tier memory, it is nothing special.. that said guess this could happen to any module that get dropped/hit during shipping

  3. Looks like it was bent at some point, ram dimms aren’t meant to flex. Solder is the weakest point. Was it shipped in a Jiffy bag by any chance?

  4. EiffelPower76

    It can happen

That said, Crucial is my favorite RAM brand, low prices and good reliability

  5. Melodic_coala101

That’s lead-free solder for you (at least I think that’s why?)

  6. TheUnknown2903

Seems like that module is crucial damaged

  7. Tasty-Switch-8472

Is that chip really crucial to the RAM? LoL

  8. MysteriousDrStranger

Think it’s crucial they improve the QA department.

  9. SendyCatKiller

Looks like some crucial part is missing.

  10. Happens, I got some ram that was manufactured incorrectly, made best buy think I was a scammer though

Why are you buying 2×8 DDR4-2400 in 2024 anyway?

  12. DonutConfident7733

It’s Crucial that you inspect the package upon delivery and only then pay

Jesus, it looks like RAM from the early 2000’s.
