Finally found one in the wild at retail after many hours on the toilet doom scrolling Newegg. Early 40th birthday present to myself (unfortunately, not terribly early). Cheers.

That thing pricy, very nice looking tho

  3. You’re gonna love it buddy.

A bit of advice, in MSI Afterburner you can power limit a 4090 down to about 70% and rock along just fine BUT with less noise and far lower temperatures. Mileage may vary, but that’s where my PNY 4090 is sitting right now and my room barely gets noticeably warmer after about 3-4 hours of playing an intensive game.

Enjoy. I can aford that but in for you! I see you are upgrading from an 3070, are you going to upgrade your cpu too?

Enjoy!!!! Word advice from one 4090 owner to another you may want to use a bracket to keep the card from cracking & breaking due to the weight of it. Especially the ASUS ones.

  6. do they still have that weird power connector?

I’d make fun of you for paying so much if I didn’t spend 5000 on a driving sim. Lol

Recently joined the 4090 club coming from a gtx 970, couldn’t be more happy… just setting all at ultra ad still having 3 numbers fps it’s sooo satisfying.

    Hope you enjoy that!

i am building one keeping 3d and AI in mind as a student, so i was so fking annoyed at nvidia they increased the crap out of its price, i was going with 4090, but i guess it was a blessing in disguise, since 4080 is like much cheaper than it, and the performance difference is finally not worth the price.

Not to mention i went with a less powerful psu, a little bit more powerful cpu, and 32 gigs of more ram. And my total setup costs still just a little more than 4090.

I really wanted that extra vram tho, why can’t 4080 come with 20 gigs.
Enjoy this beast, nothing comes close to it in performance, really the best if you can afford it.

  12. Ok but show us that leather backpack!

    Also happy birthday!

Holy moly, $2k for GPU is insane. It will cost less than 500 next year when 5000 series will come out.

  14. They are selling it for $2100 in the store?!?!

I want one, but I cannot justify spending $4000 on a GPU 😭
