Every day I wake up thinking there’s no way Microsoft can make things worse, and every day, I am proven wrong.

  2. johnc380

That’s a dumb reason to add a whole new button

This is going to be as useful as their virtual assistant amanda or whatever it’s called.

I don’t understand why this is “new” when companies like Logitech and various others have added keys like the “menu”, “Fn” (Function), or “sleep” button over two decades ago.

If anything, I’ve hated a majority of additions. Function and alternative keys are just better.

So it seems Microsoft is up to their usual tricks again.

Trying to push AI on people in much the same way they did with Internet Explorer.

Arguably IE was really useful for the time though

So it seems “Clippy” never actually died and has become self-aware.

Judgement day is inevitable! Microsoft is Skynet. It all makes sense now.

(since when does MS make keyboards?)

Better than those laptops that come with a Netflix or Disney+ key

  8. Sudden-Anybody-6677

Nice, another key for a product that will be discontinued in a few years like Cortana?

  9. lordfappington69

as soon as this bullshit popped up in my OS i disabled it. Fortunately you never have to buy a keyboard with this waste of real estate

  10. Gogo2587

Can’t wait to use this key. I’ll be using it as much as the right alt!

This will fail like Windows Phone, 8, Cortana, Halo, Paint 3D, Skype, Silvelight, Groove, Zune, Games For Windows, etc

    question

will this also implement to the mechanical and membrane keyboards? in the future?

I was planning to buy a mechanical keyboard

if this will added to the keyboard means all the older version of mechanical and membrane will be affected or sale value will plummet?

it better to buy mechanical keyboard , membrane or even a new laptop later?

My first thought was “Is it related to that stupid AI bullshit?”.

    I hate being right.

  14. Well, looks like will take place of the second Windows button.

  15. Grayccoon_

Soon they’ll bring it to Xbox… I just can’t understand why would you put a physical key for that.. or at least make it a function key, not a key that lies with the mess of other keys that you don’t know what do what

  16. nemanja694

Can’t wait when M$ kills copilot like they killed cortana and there will be a shit ton of keyboards with useless button

  17. SvennEthir

Good thing I have a Moonlander and use my own custom layout.

  18. MechAegis

I wonder how useful it’ll be. or is it gonna be like the insert key where it make things disappear when typing.

  19. DividedState

They should remove a few keys first. Nobody needs print, roll, num lock. There is only one keyboard that really ever touched the layout and combine the numblock with the stuff between to my knowledge and that is coolermaster master key m if I remember correctly. That would be a smart move.

  20. KnightofAshley

    I love how its “required”

What happens when co-pilot dies in a few years?

  21. Helpful-Work-3090

copilot is cortana 2.0, and even more annoying and useless. Also, you can uninstall cortana, you can’t uninstall copilot. (Believe me, I’ve tried)

  22. mindaltered

haha im good, last thing I need is to accidentally activate the shitty MS Ai

  23. not_old_redditor

“Doesn’t work if you’re not signed into your ms account” oh so this is just another attempt to make me sign into a microsoft account?
