Currently am direct die on my 9700K with a H150i Elite Capellix LCD XT AIO. Trying to fix this core delta, this is at 235 ish watts package power, and around 255w POUT sensor. OCCT SMALL AVX2 EXTREME VARIABLE. Can’t seem to fix this delta, not sure if its the mount, I used the 2066 standoffs that were included with the AIO so that it can be seated low enough to touch the bare die. Pretty sure my contact is good, I can tighten the thumbscrews down more and see the metal mounting bracket begin to bend which indicates the cooler is touching the die and the thumbscrews are bending the bracket.

For refrence in R23 a much lesser load the core deltas are around 5c.

AFAIK, cores 0 and 4 are located closest to the memory controller, it makes sense they might get warmer with an AVX load that has a lot of memory transactions.

One thing you could try is surrounding the die with PTM7950, wick some extra heat from the substrate into your cooler.
