It’s a cool experience the first time but then it pops up again in the quest log, and my completionist personality gets upset at how it’s forced into the quest log when I thought I was up to date lol.

When it comes to it as what it really is, there’s no issue at all; I see it as mundane as a romance in a book, movie, series, or soap opera—nothing strange. Treating it as something real, I would find odd. On the other side of the story, I imagine there are people who have never had this kind of experience in their lives, and the closest they come to it is what they have in this fictional universe (although it’s quite fantastical). So, looking at it from their perspective, I can imagine it might have a greater significance.
