I recently bought a new laptop:MSI Thin GF63 12VE-062XFR Laptop (With 4050 // 16G Ram // i5 12450)

Performance are pretty average, and i’m trying to find a safe way to increase it.
​
I know, i’m responsible of all the damage i can do on my laptop, and its not recommended to OC a one fan laptop.
I assume all that can happen to me 🙂

It look like i do not have the same bios version than him on his video.

Do you think this missing overclocking menu is because i do not have the same Bios version ?
On msi’s website, there is only one BIOS update available, and it look like its the one i have on my laptop…
Any Idea to find this missing menu ? Is there some bios from msi that they dont upload after a new release, that could be the one i’m looking for with this menu ?
First topic on reddit, and i’m not native english speaker, so feel free to let me know if I’m doing things wrong !

If you’ve unlocked the advanced BIOS using the known key combo and it’s not there…there is no further action possible.

Edit: many nice setting (look at MSI bios on a b550) are lock. if this was a Dell or HP shitbox-you wouldn’t even get the advanced menu! U lucky
So on da prebuilts: basically..u in for a rough time if u want to OC. MSI, Dell, HP, all of em will push bius updates thru win updates. This is why it needs to be controlled
But they don’t always list these BIOS on the goddamn webpage. Likelihood youve gone thru a shit ton of bus updates. They probably DID remove the sumbitch
