i mean, i guess yeah. CPU isn’t great, but 1151 boards go for decent price

if it works then yeah should be a pretty good deal for an i5-7400. pretty sure it can run most 1080p games on medium settings if paired with a good gpu

If it’s literally just $50, that might be okay, sure. A very old CPU at this point, but you could use it for a work PC or a light gaming PC. Maybe stick an RX 6600 or a used RX 5000 series card in there.

Yup. Get a decent used gpu and 16 gb ddr4 ram, you can get good framerates for 1080p gaming.

Great deal, nice board for a server too with what looks like 6 sata slots

If it works it would be good as a server or nas if it doesn’t than no it wouldn’t be worth the effort

Yeah it’ll get stuff done and some more.

i5 7400 right? Not the best deal but not the worst either.

  9. AdAdvanced6328

It is a great deal just for that motherboard.
You could buy a 7700K for just 20$ and have the best CPU that this board is capable of.

People commenting like it holds up very well for 1080p gaming. It does not. This CPU will already bottleneck a GTX1060/1070.

For the price it’s pretty good

But tbh these run out of cores and threads very fast, would rather save a bit more for the Chinese Xeon bundles or just get a cheap AM4 system with Ryzen 2600
