I know next to nothing about overclocking so bear with me

I was fiddling with afterburner and noticed that I can increase the power limit of the gpu by 10% and I thought to try it out.

And lo and behold I just gained around 10% avg fps and a whopping ~50% increase in min fps on furmark 4k benchmark When compared to stock.

That’s just too much. And as far as I can tell the temps of the gpu are practically identical. The fans of the gpu do spin faster when the power limit is increased but that’s about it when it comes to temps.

But when I tried to use the superposition benchmark the performance did increase but nowhere near as dramatically as furmark when playing on the 4k optimized preset.

Is it that furmark is a bad gpu benchmark or what?

I have a zotac rtx 3090 trinity which has power limit of 350 watts.

And just to be clear in the pictures by curve I mean the core curve set by riva tuner + 200MHz memory overclock

Don’t use furmark. 3Dmark is a much better bench.
