Is the plot to CP2 something to do with hostages?
Personally I think Cyberpunk 2 will be about V sharing his brain with Morgan Blackhand, who is the most legendary hunter in Cyberpunk lore.

Damn good find. But as for your theory on V absolutely not. Did you play the game? Almost all the endings have V dying. And when you are not dead you are certainly not in a “ok good got rid of johnny lets get another nc legend in my head” mood
V isn’t coming back . Its so obvious with the new ending that won’t no involvement of V as playable character in next game. They didn’t just made him into a NPC for no reason.

Black hand is also Mike Pondsmith’s character in his tabletop and it’s up to him if he allows CDPR to tell any of the story, since he’s said he’s not done having fun with creating more stories for the guy.
Man’s own OC is a bigger “what if” than he realizes. Think that was a lot of why he didn’t get more than hints or rumors in 2077. Essentially functions better as a Ghost.
Just overlooking how he was paid by Militech to do what he did, and Silverhand was cut in two by a shotgun blast in the lobby (iirc on the where) then copied to a chip by Spider herself.
