It’s a PC case from 2007(Maybe, idk but it’s almost the on oldest gygabyte chassis page). Originally there were biostar p43-a7 rev 7.0 or 6.0 core 2 duo and Radeon 2600 pro(I still have this hot GPU) well actually some NVIDIA but still. Also this is a unique case because it has 1394 port.
I realize that this is an almost 20 year old computer… But I still want it.
Whenever I see old rigs, the thing that always make me laugh out of everything is that we deemed it acceptable that the beige colour for most computing products was acceptable.
It’s such a hideous colour but we were just happy to keep buying things in that colour for 20 years from the late 80s lol

I have that exact same Motherboard with a dual Core on top of my CRT TV because i built a computer to sell to a friend and i used the case where it was on but as Soon as i get another case it Will be back to life to be my Windows XP machine for nostalgia (not conected to the internet for obvious reasons)
But can it Run Crysis?

bro add an ssd and a gtx 1050 ti and u got urself a decent 900p-1080p 30fps machine
ESata was such a cool concept completely ruined by the fact that the specification had power as optional.
This lead to an entirely bungled implementation where some esata ports provided power, some didnt, some accessories assumed power was always available, or was optionally available, or never available.
I still have kicking around somewhere a very cool external drive with modular connectivity options, Firewire, USB A, Mini USB, ESATA, even iirc a 5.25 accessory where you slid it in like a cartridge. But the Esata assumed power so was only sometimes helpful

Man if I had the money I’d pay for that XFX 8800 GT, my step father used to play on that and we were really close back then.
He is still around and perfectly healthy, we just grew apart and as much as I wish I kept some momentos with me for memories sake, it didn’t turn out that way sadly.

Nostalgic things I notice:
The PCB color
Dual optical drives (Im old enough to remember 2x CD-R being high end)
Beige(ish) steel cases with absolutely zero tool-less mechanisms
Sound cards
DVI and PS2 ports
This would have been right around the time cold cathode neon trend was dying off and RGB LEDs were on the horizon.
Overall, a very clean build for it’s era – love it
It’s got good bones. You can build a kick-ass sleeper with it.
By that time I was rocking an Athlon X2 @ 2.6 Ghz with a Radeon 4670. Made for a nice low-midrange little rig that sipped power and was as quiet as a mouse.
Eventually jumped ship to Intel and Socket 1155 just as AMD made a mockery of themselves with Bulldozer and it was the right call for sure. I would have killed for a rig like yours back then!
