There are a lot of false positives out there, I’m curious to know the details such as the file path/file name.

Run some malware scans also just in case. It’s good to have a second set of eyes as defender may not catch everything.

Hmm, any idea how it got into your machine?

I thought bitcoins whole thing was having a defined footprint, can’t they find where the coins you mined went and go sue them?

That’s what you get for relying on windows defender I guess, too many people think it’s perfect. You need another AV, something like bitdefender.

Not sure if you responded to this already but just curious if you know what site, app you got it from?

And you didn’t notice even once in a whole year, lmao

It’s 100% not Bitcoin — a regular cpu can’t mine BTC anymore. Some alt coin, likely.

  11. The worst part is these viruses control what you see in task manager. They hide their presence.
You can spot it is by checking multiple tools at once, and benchmarking your system then obtaining horrible results if something is off.
Try HWmonitor, GPU-Z, and whatever software your computer come bundled with if task manager isn’t making sense(loud fans with low gpu/cpu load).
Alternatively use process explorer (download it from Microsoft website), run it as administrator, submit all unknown executables to virus total.
