This is my first build. And my first attempt at cable management while watching linus for tips.

Wish i had psu shroud tho.

Front looks okay, besides the colors 😛 the back noones looks at, so its all fine. It has to look good to you and thats all.

  2. I don’t see any cable management attempt.

  3. let us know when its finished so we can rate it

My front and back both look worse but i dont have a window of any kind to look inside so what do i care, if she works she s good :]

  5. Is that a fan on top of your PSU? Where is it drawing air from?

  6. Dumbass_F22_Pilot

Pretty good ig, btw, what grade freedom is that in your pc?

  7. etfvidal

Forget the cable management, why is there a fan on top of the psu?

  8. Unconcious_Bias

There seems to be a plastic toy in your case next to delicate moving parts? Does it increase FPS by sorcery? Nah JK but I would not suggest having anything in there other than components for your computer. As far as the wires, who cares if it runs cover it up and you are good.

Classic ketchup and mustard, function over form. It isn’t the prettiest and for whatever reason you still have a molex connector in 2023? Anyway, I give it a 4/10

  10. the only attempt at cable management that I see is that you ran all the cables through the back

  11. lameravergalrga69

    that’s the classic joke backend/frontend

  12. PretendRegister7516

Ketchup mustard cables are a PCMR sin by themselves.

  13. Sage_8888

Well, at least you hid all these cables in the back, I’d give it 4/10. Could be much worse, and everything looks okay until you open the back lid. If you can close the lid with all this mess, it’ll be a solid 5/10 😁

  14. Own_Initiative396

What happens in the back stays in the back

  15. Ddumberdog

The trick is never to show the back side cable area, aka rats nest😉😋
Get some cable extensions and what on earth is that fan doing on top of the PSU?😎

There are two ways to “cable manage”:

    * Half-messy so it’s easier to service and upgrade. Will live a long life and will be kept well-maintained even though the cables aren’t über-perfect.
    * Properly and perfectly. But it’s extremely hard to change anything. Once done it’s static. Don’t touch anything! Ever! At all! When something inside gets too dusty, throw the entire PC and buy a new one.

Well at least there’s the freedom gundam

  18. Magnumload

They still make PSUs that have ketchup and mustard cables exposed?

  19. michi214

Back doesn’t matter, it’s the hiding spot

Front is supposed to look clean, also to collect not as much dust and potentially infringe the function

Some effort in managing the back doesn’t hurt tho, a few zip ties work wonders

I usually like to keep some spare cables at the back for the possibility of upgrading
