This may be the reason for not noticeable improvement in your workload

really not a huge difference in gaming performance comparing ddr4 to ddr5. just if you are building new and have the budget might as well get ddr5. no point living in the past.
you can ask any computer scientist for a competent mini he will tell you that especially if you only play games there is not much point in taking DDR5 compared to DRR4 apart from obviously a lot of money to spend and that you want flex but that’s another story 😂

the 7800x3d doesnt support ddr4 at all so there is no way for you to say this with any degree of certainty.
Back when i upgraded to a 13700k DDR5 there was a youtuber with the exact same specs as me except he ran DDR4 and my FPS in the same games, same in game locations, same settings and resolution was consisatntly higher than his but it was only really noticable cause this was 100-200 fps so it was more noticable.
Did you only replace mobo and RAM sticks?
By the way, I’m doing a comparison between my old and new PC. old one was DDR4

It matter only for memory bound/AI applications.
For most everyday tasks, you’ll not run into the limits of DDR4.
Lol I went from 2400 ddr4 to 3200 ddr4. But 16 to 32 gigs. Idk if it makes a difference but I like the numbers
It increases your 1% fps scores and average fps with powerful gpu’s and in software like pro tools I can operate with almost no latency…
I noticed shorter loading times on games. 3600 mhz cl18 to, 6000mhz cl30.
This is why I wait till my PC is too slow before upgrading.

Good example of just how chill things are, all my tabs in Brave are confined to just one Brave instance in Task Manager. Once you breach ~80 tabs they start splitting off.

If you are just playing games, there is no noticeable difference.
I’m planning to go from a 1060 to a 5060 or 6060 in 3-4 years. In about 4-5 years probably update from a Ryzen 3600 to a 5800X3D. Hope my PC will survive all this until 2030 with just some SSD replacements.
I’ve noticed a dramatic time reduction when starting games like Victoria 3. Like from 3/4 minutes to 30 secondo.
A lot of pc upgrades are only on paper and not noticeable in actual usage.
