Missed a killer deal on a 6700XT so I got this instead, and I have to say, ray-tracing is very cool! A lot of people told me to get a 3060 Ti as it was significantly cheaper at one point but I’m much happier with how little power this thing consumes for the performance. That’ll definitely be a huge bonus for our killer summers here. (Also Zotac gives *5 years* of warranty. How do you heat that?)

Know what though? None of that matters, you still got a decent card that should fit your needs for a while yet while being more power efficient and cooler than the 3060.

The 4060 is ok, it’s the 4060ti that is really bad for the price.
Along as you got it at it’s $300 MSRP it’s a good card for the price.

I managed to nab a 4060 new for $220 before tax and upgraded from a 1650 super 4gb in a prebuilt HP. I honestly have no complaints!
I have the same as your old card and it’s still chugging along.
I just built a PC with the white edition of that card and coming from a 1650 ti mobile, it feels amazing!

As long as you bought it for $250 tops. I will try to buy it soon, but I will go for $200 or a bit more. Anything higher is overpriced for this one.

I’m a deal hunter and actually was paid $50 to upgrade from my 3080ti to my 3090, but Calgary has a very robust used market.
I just gifted my brother in law a 3080ti and a power supply to replace a 1660… and he was like a kid on Christmas. Can’t wait to hear how his gaming experience is now
Nice. I bought one of these Zotac 4060 for my second PC. It’s surprisingly good and I love that it sips power. Makes it my go to “long task” PC – such as AI video upscaling or encoding h265 videos in Handbrake. Sure, my 4090 system could do it faster, but the energy cost would get silly, because even a 4090 can only speed up those processes so much – it still takes fairly long regardless. Even if my 4060 takes 3 days to do something (for example), it still averages less in energy cost.
It’s so tiny too, lol. When I look at it vs my 4090, I can’t help but chuckle.

Nice! As a lot of people here are probably saying, the 4060 has…. mixed feelings…. But all the other shit aside it’s undeniably a nice card, and so is the 3060 to all of them. Congrats on the upgrade and I hope you enjoy the games with it! (Also 5 year warranty is crazy)

I was almost excited until I saw pics of the actual GPU…I sure hope that was not that much more for some sticker on top of the fan. I expected a badass looking GPU, but I guess they all can’t be Asus.

It’s cool when you upgrade after a console cycle (+- 6, 7 years or so), that 150% increased performance, it’s bizarre really. The Total War Warhammer “trilogy” used to be my comfy game all these years, GTX 1060, running at 20fps on the campaign map, 30 on battles… here it comes the RX 7600, the campaign map running at 65fps, so fluid it felt weird lol
