I did the secret ending of Phantom Liberty where you simply *don’t* chase after the crashed wreckage of Space Force 1. After enough time Songbird calls you, angrily stating you “killed the fucking President!” And you fail Phantom Liberty. However, President Myers is still alive in the Arasaka/Devil ending, which tells me Barghest didn’t *kill* her, they just held her hostage in exchange for some demands. When Songbird says we’ve killed the President, she probably just assumes that, in Kurt Hansen’s custody, she’s as good as dead, but I guess she was mistaken
This means either
1. NUSA met Hansen’s demands or
2. NUSA invaded Dogtown and successfully got Myers out

3. Developer oversight. They forgot to update the ending and count that possibility in.

Either your options or it’s a clone / body double.
But I think it’s more of an oversight for that outcome, most her appearances on TV are pre-recorded CGI videos put in the game and using her pre-2.0 model.

100% developers forgot about it, however I’m pretty sure for narrative continuity Myers needs to be alive for what’s to come in the next game, I’m pretty sure there would be a CDPR canon including her
That could be a vice president or a spoke person. Is it mentioned explicitly that it’s Myers? That’s not her appearance.
Or this is a deep fake ai of the president in an attempt to maintain order for as long as possible while they try to figure out a solution to a dead NUSA president.
Or option 3. They’re using the same tech that the FIA agents use to disguise themselves to prevent national panic
With the tech NUSA have, she might not have survived and it could well be someone else with her face modded in to her.
