This happened very early in the morning, around 5-6AM, woke up early to play some COD before heading out for family Christmas plans, and I was put in a bot lobby 3-4 games in. The first few games I performed well, then this lobby was full of people who clearly have no idea what’s going on. While I could tell if someone is just bad, this behaviour is something that I never saw before. The player clearly does not even know how to shoot, and his behaviour is very reminiscent of that in private lobbies bots. I saw a few videos on here saying that AI bots are now in Warzone, but I never believed them until I encountered one myself. Thoughts?

No it isn’t an AI bot. They’ve had AI in CoD forever. Every single campaign has had them. They’ve been in zombies, in DMZ, in WZ1 for events, and in WZ2 because Infinity Ward tried to sabotage their own game. Does this look like any of the previous iterations of AI in CoD?
This looks like someone who isn’t familiar with FPS controls. Notice how they don’t tend to move and look around at the same time? Having 2 analogue sticks is tricky when you’ve never done it before. This could be a child, or someone’s girlfriend. Maybe they have a broken controller, or some kind of disability. There are so many other explanations before we arrive at “Activision is sneaking AI into their game”.

Oh yeah, fortnite and warzone both actively use bot players to fill a server. But they have a max ratio that they stick to, so the entire lobby can’t be JUST bots.

We got an absolute demon bot that dropped 13 kills in slay ride resurgence, little computer man was slide canceling around the map and pushing teams like a cracked out streamer…

Ive had a couple wins where im sure it was bots. One of them seemed to spontaneously generate next to my ltv. When I killed him the players name was literally dev_error. The final bot i killed for the win had the clan tag [opfor] as in opposing forces. He popped smoke like bots but just hung around in the smoke shooting. No one ever said a word on prox chat or death cams, and the names that scrolled in the end lobby credits screen were all weirdly generic.
