I know that it probably won’t be to some people’s liking but I think the minimalistic approach looks pretty good.

There are some minor things to do, the GPU screw needs tightening to make it level and some areas need a touch of paint. Fairly quick jobs.

I used a long board because I was initially going to put some accessories like headphones or VR stuff on pegs, screwed to the bottom half, however I think it looks better as is and I’m glad I didn’t opt for a square piece.

Any questions, please feel free to ask!

I appreciate your effort, but this looks dumb af.

I would have used a wider board and one not as long, I get the aesthetic you are going for, but a slightly wider board would have allowed you to hide those cables that go around the sides. Using a shorter board is just my preference, in other words I’d have gone landscape instead of portrait, but you do you. I won’t knock it, I once had a friend (only once, no need to panic) that used a classic plastic egg crate as a case for his LAN PC. It was zip tied in place, looked janky AF, and I thought it was awesome. It even gave him a tub to carry his mouse and keyboard around in. Not bad for a first try though. I’ve seen that style of mounting before, the only things I have issue with other than the cables are the box cooler on the motherboard, at least get a decent tower cooler with maybe some RGB, that would spruce it up a bit, not too gaudy but something to draw the eyes to, and that red SSD just looks atrocious with the rest of it, sticks out bad, a black one would fix that, I get it, budgets exist, so future project maybe? Other than that keep in mind that Nvidia GPU needs to breathe on the back side so make sure the pass thru fan has somewhere to go

Yeah, if anything tidy up that 24pin a bit. You could even make a box to fit the SSD and HDD in just to cover them. Outta sight outta mind. And on closer inspection I just noticed that red SATA cable also, bro…… Unless you spend the extra on custom colored cables I’d stick with the stealth black, and a black SATA cable is like 6 bucks…. Once again well done for your first time, I’ll let the SATA cable slide if we say it was for testing purposes….😊

Why are you using a 10 year old hard drive nowadays?

Its art, its bottom weighted visually.

Out of curiosity, did you put any metal underneath the MOBO or any other parts to act as a heat sink? And if not, how warm does it get?

Included some pictures/videos of some different effects and such to get a better idea of lighting:

I personally really like the idea of a wall mounted PC that has all the components separated like this. I love it

  9. DHNoLeafClover

I dig it! I’d love to do this, save some space on my desk. As you improve and evolve it, I’d love to see an update.

  10. Discoburrito

Well, at least you have room for expansion.

  11. KerberosPanzerCop

Pretty cool idea. I would put those accessory holders you opted not to install. Thats a lot of negative space at the bottom.

    I like it!

My eyes are drawn to the few cables that wrap around the edges. Why not make holes for those?

And the cables out to monitors and power, any chance you can bury them in the wall with one of those tv cord kits for mounted tv cable hiding?

  13. It’s a neat idea and going to kill your computer 10x quicker

  14. Kemalist_din_adami

I like the idea but I feel like you could’ve done a better job.

Concept is cool, and could argue practical but just looks odd, but then again all that in a case would look normal. Just feels very empty.

    Cool idea though!

You need to upgrade your hard drives bro.

  17. Brewchowskies

I like it. Neat concept, and I’d totally do this if I wasn’t concerned with dust or noise.

Dude just get a case, this looks so dumb wowee

  19. Wolven_Emperor

Looks brilliant. It would really go well with a minimalist room design.
I would replace the display cables, USBs and PSU power cables with 90 degree cables. Then drill slots like you have with the ssd to hide them. That way, it would truly have no cables reaching the edges, making it look like a canvas.

90% wall 10% PC. Looks like shit to me, but it’s your PC so who cares.

Don’t listen to em man, this is fuckin dope

I prefer putting entire PC in the wall so I can’t see it.
How to Integrate PC in wall:
    1. Dig a hole in your wall.
    2. Put PC components in hole
    3. Do not seal hole yet.
    4. Put metal case around your components.
    5. Put metal case with components out and on a table.
    6. Seal Hole.
    7. Enjoy extra activity you not require?

Real answer: Your display plate is twice as big as what you are displaying. Half empty things are visually distracting and unfulfilling . Cut it off in the middle.

If I’m honest, I would kill for a homemade PC Case, you make in what shape and size you want and have the perfect cooling for it which is vents as long it has holes in it and not covered
