Let’s be honest, video game characters are all pretty much experts in any weapon they pick up. I’ve seen a lot of people new to shooting not be capable of hitting the broad side of a barn. I’ve seen a lot of people who shoot regularly still miss by a bit just due to their grip and finger placement. This also suggests that every single gun is accurate, cleaned consistently, and the sights are placed correctly.
Honestly, sword skill is hard too, but differently because it also assumes you have a physique capable of using a sword.
Also carrying a gun with ammo is a lot physically, especially carrying it at low ready, like for clearing a house or building.

Yeah, my V still looks like she’s out there swinging the katana wildly and praying it hits. It’s probably me though. I usually play a sneaky netrunner and being a sandy katana immersion-blender is a whole other skillset.
