Yes, they need a small coin battery to help keep the CMOS on.

You can remove the battery to ship it if you have to.

Yes, the cmos battery. Easily removable and easy to get a replacement at the other end of its journey.

Yes, the CMOS battery. It is typically a CR 2032 type coin battery (the most common type). It keeps your BIOS settings while your computer is off. Pro tip: You can “press the reset button on your motherboard” by unplugging your computer and popping that little battery out for a few minutes. That comes in handy when you fuck up your BIOS settings to the point of no boot. Pop the battery back in, turn her back on, and the BIOS should be default set.

PI967 states non-removable so its not that one. I would Guess PI966 would be the one to chose. Its usually not an issue they are just safety procedures to make sure their planes aren’t going to burn. The don’t want a repeat of [UPS Airlines Flight 6](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UPS_Airlines_Flight_6)

PI967 and PI966 have the restrictions. Your ok as long as your shipping less then 3x the number of batteries needed to power the device and its less the 100Watt Hours.

Last I checked, they do it by weight of lithium content of the battery, whether or not the battery is contained/sealed inside of equipment, whether the battery is in circuit supplying power while being shipped, and a few others. This was for wildly different computer equipment, though. There are a few flowcharts out there with this sort of info in them.

As someone who used to do shipping: unless it’s going through customs, just lie. It’s going to go ground and they won’t treat it any different if you tell them, they’ll just charge you more.
