I already bought the parts, so if I made any bad choices please make me feel as much regret as possible. Also, since this is my first ever computer gaming experience outside of Guild Wars (the original, not 2) and OSRS, I’m more than happy to take any and all suggestions on what games to check out first! On console I’m big into RPGs like Red Dead and The Witcher, but I’m not picky at all. Thanks in advance, new friends

I am quite envious, such a clean and aesthetically pleasing set up

Love the case. Play Cyberpunk 2077. Won’t be graphically maxed with a 3060 but will look good and fits in your RPG, story driven lane. It is a complete game after 2.1 update. I also recommend Game Pass on PC. Not sure if you had an XBox before this but for like $10 a month you can pick and choose from a lot of great games.

Welcome, your wallet will never be the same.

  4. That ssd is pretty out of date now and there are much better options but don’t let that ruin the build

Looks great! I would have went with a better gpu but it will be fine for most games with settings dropped!

  7. Looks great. Id have gotten a better gpu. But otherwise great!

Nice. I still have my PS5 that I use often. I like my PC but i’m still a console guy at heart. Enjoy the build my man

Nice case choice. I’ve been eyeing that one for months now but I have no reason to switch out my Corsair C70.

Looks like a lot of good decisions to me. The only things I would nitpick on are the PSU and the AIO. The PSU is itself rated quite high and is fine for the build but at 650W it doesn’t leave a lot of head room for upgrades because some newer GPUs are pulling far more than that 3060 will use. The AIO is probably overkill for Ryzen 7 on AM5. Your nominal TDP is going to be about 120W which is within the capabilities of a good tower cooler which would also remove points of failure since their only moving parts are fans.

Get a controller (Xbox controllers work well on PC, since you already have one of those). You can still play games like The Witcher and Red Dead on PC but using a controller your play style that you’re used to will carry over!

I would have ditched all the rgb fans, used air over aio which is overkill for a ryzen 7, and bought a used 3080 and better psu with the leftover funds.

When I ascended the Razer Tartarus V2 helped ease into gaming. I still use it too.

looks like a lot of bad decisions to me. wasting too much money on aesthetics. but if u really notice the looks of ur pc more than performance then enjoy

Boy – converts to pc gaming.

Man – tasted all aspects of pc gaming 20 years ago and just buys Xbox to play with a bottle of beer.

Normally I would say something like *come on everything in white and a 3060 that’s a bad choice* but I know it’s gonna look really amazing so just enjoy the game !

  19. I LOVE the case! So happy to see it in white! I have the black version and it’s fantastic!!

  20. Good job. I converted after owning a PS3 and have never looked back on getting a PS4 or PS5.

  21. **me: after a lifetime of console gaming i bought a steam dec, to emulate ps2 games.**

  22. Congrats and welcome!

Highly recommend Final Fantasy XIV, fantastic game and amazing community. Witcher/Red Dead are both on Steam for PC; if you go to their Steam store pages you can find similar recommendations. I’m a huge fan of the Fallout series, highly recommend Fallout 4 & New Vegas. Also highly recommend Valheim, best $20 you’ll spend if you’re an open world RPG fan. Assassins Creed series is another favorite; would recommend AC Valhalla and III as those are my faves.

I’m also a huge fan of cozy games. My current obsession is Moonstone Island, it’s kinda like Stardew Valley mixed with Pokemon. Stardew is another favorite as well!

Also quick tip – add games you want to your Steam wishlist; you’ll get emails when they go on sale. Steam also has a big Summer Sale where tons of stuff goes on sale; that’s usually when I get most of mine!
