Lol, it can go sit like that in the laptop cart of shame. We have a cart that we just put the old batteries into when they get ripe. Might give this a shot lol.

Personally I’d use a big resistor and the fan, that way it’ll continue discharging when the fan dies

Upgrade idea: put one or several power resistors in parallel with the fan, glued to a heatsink in front of the fan.
