What the heck am I doing wrong here? This used to be capped at 10 but now I’ve wasted every level since into intelligence, just to come back and find its one higher than the pervious level.
The best outcome is to shoot that thing and release the children. Johnny will love you for it and it doesn’t actually change anything except the attitude of the final Delamain.

Attribute requirements now scale based on level. If you are “behind the curve” you will never be able to do them.
It really sucks IMO. Luckily there is a mod that returns it back to flat values based purely on the difficulty rating of the interaction(easy, medium or hard).

I don’t know since the updates, but I read the scaling was your attribute+1, so you can never do it unless it’s max

Yeah, one of the worst parts about the update is now attribute checks scale with your level. Meaning if your playing a “balanced” character, instead of just dumping points into 2 attributes, you will never get enough. Basically you can’t ever save delemain if you were any other build then a INT net runner build, just like you will never be able to pass the strength dialogue checks if you weren’t a solo build.
It’s one of the few downsides of the new 2.0 system IMO. Everything else, like the level scaling, getting stronger via cyberware now, ect was all a net positive change and makes the game feel much better, but this is the one negative change, attribute checks should have been left alone.

Just shoot the core, the merged core ai is a pretentious dickhead

I don’t know who would ever smash Delamain’s core. He saved V’s life at least three times, two of which were assisting Takemura and then Vic in life saving surgery.

I was only able to complete this mission with this option after reaching level 20 of the attribute, whenever I went up a level and returned to the mission, the required level was higher
