I thought maybe from overheating but not sure.

I’ve been on Reddit for a while now. I’ve dealt with computers in an amateur and professional capacity for at least twice as long as that. I have *never* seen a computer get *chicken pox* before. This looks like someone put paint thinner in a spray bottle and spritzed the underside of this laptop.

    does your friend vape ?

looking again it maybe a plastic film that is coming away from the bottom cover, if its like a brushed aluminium effect it could be that.

Looks like the coating bubbling, either rubber or paint?

If I didn’t know any better, this looks like aluminum decay. But the picture isn’t real clear, but that’s my guess.

Looks like heat damage to me, was the laptop left on a hot surface or explosed to the sun for long periods?

I’m getting serious trypophobia vibes from this…

My guess is that the frame is coated by either paint or some kind of protective film and the years of moisture or just manufacturing defect is causing the paint/film to start being removed.

Looks like your friend downloaded a chicken pox virus

Do they usually have it on one of those dinner trays with the cushion under them? Looks like the raised plastic bumps that stop your plate from sliding have melted onto the bottom of the laptop as it overheated.

    I think it is chickenpox

Get the laptop to the nearest hospital asap

Could be overheating, moisture or the manufacturer used a shitty primer.

Idk if you live near a salty sea but that might be it. Does other stuff around rust?
